Norovirus at PCH

Two wards are closed at PCH because of an outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

Several people have gone down with the Norovirus.

Signs have been put up warning visitors not to go to the hospital if they`ve had symptoms of vomiting or diarrhoea in the last 72 hours.

A spokesman says work`s underway to cleanse the wards and they should re-open later this week.

Fatal crash in snow

A man`s died after a crash on the M1 in Northamptonshire.

It happened yesterday morning between Newport Pagnell Services and junction 15.

A Land Rover left the road and ended up on its roof - the driver of a Peugeot 306 died.

School Closures

Just two schools in Northamptonshire are closed today both of them in Oundle.

Prince William and Oundle Primary are shut.

SNOW - Monday Latest!

After yesterdays heavy snowfall in Northamptonshire the danger this morning is from ice and thick fog.

Main routes are clear but back routes are still treacherous plus there`s the added hazard of fog causing limited visibility.
